Google在美國時間4/4的時候宣布一項新的協議，他們將與知名片商Paramount、Warner Brothers、Disney、Universal和Sony Pictures合作，之後會有超過500部的電影將透過Youtube和Google Play提供出租功能。此舉將大大衝擊PC播放器產業。
